TMJ/TMD
Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (commonly referred to as TMJ or TMD) can cause you severe discomfort and/or pain. It can be temporary or last for many years, affecting one or both sides of your face. TMJ/TMD can be caused by different factors.
The usual symptoms of TMJ/TMD disorder may include:
- Pain in the facial muscles and jaw joints
- Ear pain, ringing in the ears, hearing loss
- Clicking or popping sounds from the jaw joints
- Facial swelling
- Headaches and dizziness
